Long before being lead singer in Africando, Gnonnan Sossou Pierre
Kouassivi was leader of this group, the Dadjes Band International.
Gnonnas Pedro started his career aged 20 with leading Benin band
Los Panchos. Composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist (guitar, trumpet,
sax) but most of all performer of multi-sound music. Known worldwide
for Cuban influenced music and Agbadja, a modernized form of Fon
folkloric music. Music from Benin, Nigerian release, enjoy.

Thanks Moos, don't think these were reissued on his "Musique Afro Cubaine vol 1 & 2" CDs. I'll have to dig them up and check, but i highly doubt it.

I have managed to filter some of the hiss out, by using WavePad. Have you ever tried something like this?
Unfortunately it looks like there's no open software for this kind of thing (MP3 license? When does it expire?).
I know a bit about acoustics (being a physicist) and have lots of programming experience. I would thus love to develop something for "cleaning" these records. Would that be useful, in your opinion?
