Emeneya Emerite & Victoria Eleison -
Kimpiatu, Rythmes et Musique 1988

Quite some time ago, some of you asked for music by
these guys. I am not the man to tell you a whole lot about them
but the most important thing, I have some of their work. From
1988, Emeneya Emerite and Victoria Eleison with 'Kimpiatu'.
With such a name, one doubts about the meaning of the lyrics,
I don't understand the words, but I do love the sound.

tracks;

1 Kimpiatu
2 Isbond
3 Mobali ya ngenge
4 Soiree dansante

Victoria Eleison have produced some of the most beautiful music from the Congo. Their secret? Look no further than the sweet voice of King Kester Emeneya. He's one of the top musicians from the Congo basin. Thanks for sharing.

Finally you give us a better quality for soirée dansante I've posted some month ago (http://dial-africa.blogspot.com/2011/03/orchestre-victoria-eleison-soiree.html).
Thanks a lot.

Kester Emeneya aka the King is one of Congo's greatest musicians, he was part of Wemba's early lineup of Viva La Musica in the 70's then led his own group Victoria Eleison in 1982 with a couple of musicians and release a couple of LPs, a few offshoots were created from them and were made. Thanks for posting.

I have been trying to find this for a very long time for a friend of mine. The link seems to be closed, can you please re-up?
