Raphy Leavitt - Jibaro Soy, Borinquen 1973

When I was running through the records in that Paris
recordstore, I found this jewel by Raphy Leavitt. Listening
to it, another customer wanted it too. Shame, but hey, I gave
him this URL and promised to post it this week. So here it is.
It's got that great salsa brava sound of the early seventies.
An LP that makes the hair stand up on your arms.

In the meantime our new year at the Global Groove is starting.
I would love to give you all a big piece of birthday cake, but
instead we'll go into the new year posting music as we use to.
You can expect some special selected treats, waiting for you
on the postingpile, stay tuned..

tracks;

1 Jibaro soy
2 Perdoname cariño
3 Cafe colao
4 Señorita tentacion
5 La cuna blanca
6 Consentida
7 Ecos de danzon
8 En memoria a un hermano

New link

Sammy Marrero is/was one of the worst high pitched gravel voiced singer I have ever heard.
